ArcCatalog Missing Interface

I logged in remotely from home to my work computer one night through logmein.  The next time I opened ArcCatalog at work my interface was gone.  There are no buttons, tabs, menus or tools available.  It opens directly to my database connections showing large thumbnails of SDE databases available.  I can click on them to open but can not back up or use anything else through ArcCatalog.

I did already replace the ArcCatalog.gx file but it did not help.?

I have attached an image showing ArcCatalog when opened.  I am looking for help to resolve the issue if anyone has suggestions please help.  I would prefer not to have to re-install!!!!

This is ArcCatalog 10 and I am using Windows 7.  I am hoping it is a windows 7 setting?
