Hi all,

I am running into a problem with Asc2sde and I hope somebody can help me.

I am loading records to an ArcSDE table using asc2sde.

When I use asc2sde ??o create records are loaded very fast:

Results:
        Records read: 20839404
        Rows created: 20671607 (167797 rejected)
Insert time: 56.77 min (6068.73 TPS)
        Elapsed time: 1.283 hours

Then I create spatial and table indexes, test it and everything works fine.

Then I drop the table indexes using sdetable -o delete_index. I also run sdelayer ??o load_only_io

and then I run asc2sde ??o append and this is the result I get:

Results:
        Records read: 5000
        Rows created: 4990 (10 rejected)
Insert time: 9.906 hours (8.40 TPM)
        Elapsed time: 9.906 hours

Is there a way I can speed the appending up to where it is comparable to the initial load?

I am using ArcSDE 9.3.1 on on SQL Server 2008 SP2 (10.00.4000) Enterprise Edition

Please find attached a describe long of my sde layer.
