Point Density

Hello GIS User


I am trying to create a Point Density file using Washington DC crime data.  I created a model in Model Builder to aggregate the data with a count field.  I am trying to use Point Density Tool in Spatial Analyst Toolbox.  However when I run the tool I am not getting the data to display properly. I believe I am not setting my parameters correctly. Could someone take a look at my file and provides me some details so that I can create the point density file.

Hi David,

The zip file doesn't contain all the necessary files that make up a shapefile. In particular, you are missing the shapefiles .dbf file.  Without it, the file is invalid and I can't view the data.

Can you resend that, and post some screenshots of the output you recieve as well as the parameters used to create it?  Please elaborate on what you mean by it doesn't display properly.
