Greetings Java experts! I am running a windows 7, 64 bit dell computer with NetBeans 7, and and EDN subsciption. I am attempting to build a java desktop application using a sample I found on the EDN site. The debuggger produced the error in the title. I am new to Java and ArcObjects and have no clue on where to begin to solve this error. I am attaching a screenshot of the IDE any help would be greatly appreciated...
Not a Java expert, but I suspect you are attempting to use the 64-bit Java platform. Try changing the Library|Java Platform setting to a 32-bit platform in your project's properties.
You may need to download and install the 32-bit JVM if it doesn't show up in the platform list.
I've been looking all over the web not understanding this problem very well (very new) and this thread was a godsend. I'm actually not even using this mapping software, but jeffhamblin's instruction to change out the library within my project made all the sense in the world. Thanks.
