I seem to be sporadically encountering a strange glitch in ArcMap 10.2:
-I downloaded the USA counties map from ArcGIS online.
-I selected only counties in California and created a new layer from this, which I called "California Counties" and saved as a layer file.
-I use this layer file to work with CA county data. When I change symbology or join/remove data files, it will occasionally revert to showing random counties in neighboring states, even though the original attribute table (for the "CA counties" layer file I created) only contained counties in California.
Has anyone experienced anything similar or do you have any input?
