I have a map with some bookmarks, and the map is saved with a view in northern Canada. When I attempt to download, and take the map offline, it seems like it uses the GPS in the device to zoom to my current location, and I cannot zoom to where I want to download data for.
When taking a map offline and you are defining the work area and level of detail it will only go off of the map extents and not current location. When you open the map either before downloading or after downloading and location settings are enabled you will zoom to your current location.
Thanks Russ, I just realized that the problem might be some basemap data already on the this device. If the user chooses not to use that it seems to function fine.
