Shortlist template not showing correctly in generic hosting

I'm new at ArcGIS Online and trying to do a proof-of-concept map to gain support to do more. When I try to run my map on the ESRI generic hosted shortlist template, the photos (jpg) don't show up. I've tried with photos on both Flickr and Picasa. This seems so basic - what am I doing wrong?

The problem is you're not specifying the actual URL to the jpg image. The links that I see are like:

https://plus.google.com/photos/108519736167353062277/albums/5985592278898109361/5985592279263785250?...

which is a link to a web page in google. You need to get the URL that ends in .jpg and use that.
