Drawing Arrow In Specific Cases - SVG Path Error

I am seeing an error in my application when drawing arrows in very specific cases - and was wondering if anyone else is having the same issue and maybe a solution too.    When drawing an arrow on the map and adjusting the size, the arrow disappears at certain lengths and only when it is vertical.  It does not happen with other shapes or when the arrow is not vertical.  The error that is reported in the browser is

"SVG4601: SVG Path data has incorrect format and could not be completely parsed."

Any ideas?  Version 3.5 - and seeing this happen in FF, Chrome, IE.  Thanks!
