Need "Service Properties" for mapping.TableView

In arcpy.mapping.layer there is a property for "serviceProperties" which gives information on the service, database and authenticationMode of a layer in a mxd.  This is very useful because I'm creating a script that will manually update mxd files that may use an application service database connections instead of the newer direct connection to a database.  However for tables in arcpy.mapping.TableView, there is no "serviceProperties" available.  Is there a way to get details about an sde connection that a table is using (more than just the workspacePath)?   You might suggest that I just go the *.sde file the table is set to and look up the information that way.  But those *.sde files that old mxds used are no longer present on the computer.  The path to the .sde file is saved in the mxd, but the .sde file is long gone.  Any suggestions?

I'm running ArcGIS Desktop 10.2 on Windows 7, 64-bit.
