Extracting multiple values from raster to points

I am working with a raster dataset and point features in Arc Map 10.  I am familiar with the extract values to points geoprocessing tool, which I used to assign attributes from the raster to the overlaying points.  However, I am working with ???landscapes,??? and my raster dataset has a quite fine resolution.  I would like to not only assign the overlapping raster value to my points, but in fact assign the three closest (in proximity/distance) raster values to my points.  So each of my points would have the three closest raster attributes.  The idea is to generate a ???landscape matrix??? for each of my points, where the raster values in this case represent vegetation types or land use.

Is there a way to do this without writing a script????

I am fairly new to ArcGIS, so I hope I have explained myself well.  I would appreciate any help on this - thanks in advance???!
