I am trying to create a union of over 900 polygons in ArcGIS 10.1. I have tried saving the union in different folders of different names however get the same responses: ERROR 000210: cannot create output C:\Documents and settings\................ and also ERROR: 001337: The maximum record length has been exceeded. I have tried saving the union into a geodatabase folder however this will not work. I have also tried doing a union using a sample of the complete set of polygons and this is always successful, therefore I feel the amount of data being processed may be the problem but am not sure how to get around this?
