SQL 2012  Native Client does not require the SQL 2008 native client to be uninstalled, but should we anyway?   According to the Microsoft the two can run side by side but is this supported by ESRI for ArcSDE 10.1  We're still running ArcSDE 10.0 so I can't test but I'd like to start pushing the SQL 2012 native client to our users now.

Installing SQL Server Native Client
SQL Server 2012

If a previous version of SQL Server Native Client is also installed on the computer, SQL Server Native Client 11.0 will be installed side-by-side with the earlier version.
