editing lines

Hello all,

When editing a polygon, or even creating a polygon, I was wondering if there was a way to extend a line past its original endpoint and have the line snap to the the plane that already exists.  So say you have a line that's 50' and the angle of the line is what you want(say it shares a common boundary with another feature) but you want it to be 150'. Is there a way you can just within the 'modify feature' task grab that end point and move it to where you want it but not break that angle or plane that you were satisfied with.  I probably didn't explain it very well but please let me know if you have any advice.  Thanks in advance.
