Hi all,
I have an interoperability connection (last update) pointing at ArcGIS Server 10.1.
If the WFS service is made public to everyone, the interoperability is able to retrieve all WFS features without error.
But, when I change the map service in ArcGIS Server into Private, even by creating a role and a user, the interoperability connection is not able to retrieve any data.
I was just enabling the option Use HHTP Authentication within Parameters..
and then trying with Basic, Digest and so on, but no positive results. The username and the password are okay, but it not working.
Any help?
Thanks in advance,
jos

So far, ESRI understands that if you want to use OGC technologies (WFS, WCS and WMS) you must not protected them, I mean they must be publicly available, otherwise are not readable using ARCMap or ArcCatalog, does it make sense? yes, but it takes a while to understand the whole meaning of open source.
And it does not matter whether you are using an open source server, different from ArcGIS Server, such as geoserver, because even using ArcGIS Server, enabling WCS services for raster images, it works when security is disabled and doesn't work when the image is protected under username and password. So, at least the company's policy is consistent either using ESRI's servers or not.
