Using the Add Shapefiles and Raster data example I have added the functionality to my application to add 1 local raster file to a layer and display on the map. In particular these are geo-located NITF 2.1 and GeoTiff files. I have been trying to figure out how to zoom to the extent of the a raster image that has just been added to my map. However it appears that the initial extent in the ArcGISLocalDynamicMapServiceLayer that hosts the raster is not the extent of the image, and therefore does not work. My question is, is there a way of obtaining the extent of the raster image during the process outlined in the example? or is there another method of zooming to a raster image?
Any help with this would be much appreciated.
