I just wanted to thank you all for your patience and any efforts anyone in the Esri community personally made to urge the Congress to reopen the Federal government. We are happy to be back at work, serving the American public well (as we have since 1879).

USGS note on resumption of operation for water data:
The USGS Water Data (http://waterdata.usgs.gov/nwis/) and USGS Water Services (http://waterservices.usgs.gov/) sites are fully operational. However, during the federal shutdown some current conditions sites may have stopped transmitting data. Instrumentation at certain other sites may need maintenance or recalibration by local USGS staff to restore the accuracy of the data served. Affected sites will be restored as quickly as possible. Timing will depend on resources and priorities at each USGS water science center. It may take several days or longer before the quality of the data served is the same as before the federal shutdown.

"Let the public service be a proud and lively career. And let every man and woman who works in any area of our national government, in any branch, at any level, be able to say with pride and with honor in future years: 'I served the United States Government in that hour of our nation's need." -- John Fitzgerald Kennedy, 1961.
