Since mobile phones displays have a much greater pixel density, map scales will vary widely in correlation to map extents. For example, the geographic extent of the state of Texas is the same on any display. But the map scale when viewing this extent varies greatly when viewed on a desktop monitor vs. a mobile phone. Roughly 1:4 million on my monitor compared to about 1:42 million on my Droid Razr. This makes setting scale dependencies on webmap layers tough when they are to be viewed in a mobile app. Does Esri have any advice to dealing with this differences? I have considered iterating through map layers and adjusting scales somehow based on the pixel density of the device screen.
