Character symbology is shifted/offset in published services

We have a service that was using a custom font we built, and all was good at first. We then added some additional fonts to this same set (.ttf) and reinstalled the font on the publishing computer (found out a reboot of the PC was needed too). Also installed the font on the server though the documentation says that is not needed except for FeatureServies. The symbols show up just fine in ArcMap and are aligned perfectly in the map (.mxd) being published. But once the service gets published and we are consuming them as a ArcGISDynamicMapServiceLayer, the character symbols display fine but are shifted about 3 feet to the right and 3 feet down in the map tiles.

Any ideas on why these might be shifting in the service would be greatly appreciated! Thanks a lot!

FYI, running AGS 10.1 SP1.
