I have a layer that contains buffered building footprints and a DTM.
I need to be able to extract the maximum and minimum values of the intersecting DTM for each building footprint.
I've looked and can't find anyway to do this.
i have access to: ArcView 10 Spatial Analyst 10
a search online seems to point towards using the zonal statistics tool but this will only allow integer or string values where as i need to transfer floating point values.
update: one option appears to be to use "zonal statistics as table" then appending this output table back to the footprints. i think this will work still interested to know if there are any other methods that may also achieve this.
I use the Zonal Statistics as table. I typically need more than 1 statistic, and this tool will alllow you to return multiple stats with 1 run. Regards, Jim
