Grouped/Other symbols not displaying in legend on mobile apps

This post pertains to four different ESRI products so I'm not sure which forum is best, but this one seems to have a lot of traction so I'm trying here....

I created a map in ArcGIS Online http://bit.ly/17Tt0QM however, I was playing around with the map in ArcGIS Explorer and I noticed that for changing symbology for unique values based on a field I'm able to delete some of the results and group the rest (or "other"), which is perfect for what I'm trying to show.  BTW, ArcGIS.com map viewer doesn't have this ability...it really should.

I noticed that back on the ArcGIS.com map viewer it correctly showed both symbols in the legend as well as a web application that was published  http://www.arcgis.com/apps/OnePane/basicviewer/index.html?webmap=1cad57339fe8414180cfa41df8450f59 using AGOL. However, when looking at the map using either the iOS or Android app it only showed the one symbol and not the "other" or grouped symbol. I believe that's a bug.

Something similar is happening to us. We created a  webMap in ArcGIS and a Web Application (using application builder.) as well. When we look at the map or the application, the layers show up find. When looking at the map through the [ArcGIS] Explorer App from Android, the points do not show up. In this case, the grouped symbols seem to be showing up in the map, but the non-grouped ones are ignored. Furthermore, the legend does not show correctly as it shows only symbols for non-group items.
