One of our team members is running ArcGIS 10.0, but needs to access web services that are being hosted on a 9X ArcGIS server. Is this possible? Is ArcGIS 10.0 backwards compatible with a 9X ArcGIS server?
I feel like this is an easy question, but we cant seem to figure it out.
Yes, you should be able to access map services from previous versions of ArcGIS Server (9.x) through ArcGIS 10.0 and 10.1. There will be issues when you begin administering an ArcGIS Server from one version to another. We recommend administering ArcGIS Server in the same software level.
