Hello,

I wrote some python-addin toolbars and installed them. They work correctly on different computers. But on one computer with Windows XP they will install correctly, but not shown under the toolbars, although they are shown in the Add-In-Manager.

Can someone help me?

Greetings

I tried both hints, but they didn't help me. I installed ArcMap new and now it works.

Thanks a lot!

Are the computers you first added in, newer (i.e. Windows 7 or newer?) Are your addins stored locally on the C: Drive? If so, is it possible you stored location paths to your programs folder under C? The paths may be different for the programs folder (ie. "Program Files" vs "Program Files(x86)")

Out of curiosity, if you put the add in in C:\Program Files (x86)\ArcGIS\Desktop10.1\bin\Addins and install it from there, does it work? I recently saw a case where this worked but haven't been able to come up with a reason yet.
