Number of Columns of Individual Bands vs. RGB

I am running into an issue with some raster data that I am trying to process via RasterToNumpyArray.  My general process is to simply load each band of an RGB image into an array, do some processing, and then convert the result into a raster with a spatial reference identical to that of the original RGB.

The issue I am having is that when I use arcpy.Raster for each individual band, the width (number of columns) reported for the individual bands is greater than that of the original RGB (this is carried over into the numpy array as well) as well as what is reported for that individual band in the ArcMap properties window.  So if I try to use the spatial properties of the RGB in NumpyArrayToRaster, the resulting raster is not positioned correctly.  Any ideas as to why the dimensions of the original RGB are different from that of its individualbands and what I might do?
