... and I'm testing what happens if I add content to GeoNet via and AGOL organizational account and then delete the account. Thanks for letting me tag along.
I can tell you exactly what will happen. The AGOL org account will be deleted and all content will be removed except for GeoNet. The GeoNet account and content will become orphaned.
Thanks Timothy for the reply. I created a trial AGOL org so I could figure out how some things worked with account deletion. Perhaps a trial org is different, but when I deleted the account I'm on now (tim.haverland_idptest), the account went from an AGOL Org account to a public AGOL account, and I still have access to GeoNet and a MyEsri profile. I would imagine a subscription organizational account would behave differently, or does that too become a public account if GeoNet content exists?
From what I understand the account is deleted/removed from the org account, and the Esri Account (public AGOL) is still accessible. You have to contact Customer Service to deactivate/delete Esri Accounts.
Tim again here ... I'm testing what happens when I "Disable Esri Access" first and then delete the account from my org. Stay tuned!
