I am new to this forum and also new to ArcGIS python scripting. Have a question to ask:
I have created a new table/layer through arcpy.Select_analysis (calling this layer Streets) from an existing layer (calling this layer Roads).

The new layer/table Streets cannot arcpy.SpatialJoin_analysis() with another layer, however, Roads layer is able to do spatial join.

The error message I encountered:
"Join Features: Dataset M:/Rodents_GIS/Streets does not exist or is not supported"

Did I use the correct command "arcpy.SpatialJoin_analysis()" to create my new layer or should I use a different way or method.

Thank you, please advice.

Best Regards
