Hello,
Sorry for a novice question.  But I'm in desperate need of help and my local programmers don't have experience mapping.  I'd like to create a choropleth map with ARCGIS Java API, your templates will do nicely (ie http://help.arcgis.com/en/webapi/javascript/arcgis/samples/fl_dgrid/index.html).  I should add that I'm picking up a range from a excel web services which is interactive (range is based on a filter that users can toggle).
My only problem that I know of, at least with regards to this particular issue is that I don't see in any of the samples anyway to aggregate my data range information into a shapefile, say state/county/zip.  I imagine there are a few different ways of doing this, I don;t see any examples.  And, as you may tell I am a novice at anything beyond VBA. Any pointers?

hi alan,

our JavaScript api definitely supports dynamic rendering, but you may have your work cut out for you if you don't have an attribute field readily available to use as the basic for the renderer.
