Hi all,
In the Python Window of my ArcGIS 10.0, I executed the following:
>>> arcpy.env.workplace=r'c:\TEMP'
>>> inFC='ftMN8PtsExcel-Benz-Elev.shp'
>>> outFC='ftMN8Pts-ArcPy.shp'
>>> arcpy.CopyFeatures_management(inFC,outFC)
Runtime error <class 'arcgisscripting.ExecuteError'>: Failed to execute. Parameters are not valid. ERROR 000732: Input Features: Dataset ftMN8PtsExcel-Benz-Elev.shp does not exist or is not supported Failed to execute (CopyFeatures).

This is my first ArcPy project to copy an 8-Point feature to the mxd Map from an existing shapefile in c:\TEMP.  The ftMN8PtsExcel8Pts-Benz-Elev.shp was created by using the X,Y coordinates of 8 points/locations stored in the Microsoft 2007 .xlsx file.  Why did I get this Error 000732 (Parameters are not valid and Input Features: Dataset ftMN8PtsExcel-Benz-Elev.shp does not exist)?

Please kindly help and advise.
