Would like to do some analysis work on an ordinal data set. The ordinal data set is of priorites in our County. For example, we asked residents to rank a list of priorities on a scale of 1 to 10, to test some analysis work I would like to start with Fire prevention. Fire prevention was ranked on this scale and all data has x,y coordinates to it. Therefore, I can gain a sense of where in the county fire was ranked and how it ranked on the scale.
My question is, what is the most approprite tool(s) to use for ordinal data type analysis? Would hot spot analysist, kriging, etc be of use?
Any guidance or suggestions would be great!
