I have numerous images taken with a Nikon D2X that are geotagged.  When I view the "Properties" of the images in Windows I can see the center coordinate and altitude of camera.  I have been able to read these images into ArcPhoto in the past but would like to use them in ArcExplorer.  When I try to add them in as geotagged images they are placed at the 0,0.
I am relatively new to ArcExplorer.

Which version of ArcGIS Explorer are you using?

If you are not using ArcGIS Explorer 2012 beta, you may want to give it a try.  We did address some geotag photo issues.  You can download it from here: http://gisupdates.esri.com/ArcGISExplorer/Build2012Beta/ArcGISExplorerBetaDownload.exe

Hi Mark

Do you know if this also addressed the issue where photos taken by an Apple IPhone do not map correctly? Thanks

Ellen

Ellen,

Add geotagged photographs should be showing Iphone pictures in the correct location.   Just double checked with 2505, and it is working for me.

Thank you VERY MUCH Mark.  The Beta version did allow me to import my images and it placed them in the correct location.
