Strangely high memory usage in SceneControl (.NET)

Why does scene loaded in SceneControl consume much more memory than exactly the same scene opened in ArcScene?

I have found that during the scene loading process memory consumption of ArcScene grows, but after that memory usage dramatically falls down. In contrast, after loading the scene via LoadSxFile method I have noticed, that memoty usage stays on the same high level. In my case more then 600mb remains in unmanaged heaps.

Does anyone have ideas why my test application is much more greedy then the ArcScene?
