how to copy/paste a feature from a layer to another in Web ADF .net or silverlight

I would like to implement a copy/paste where an user selects a feature from one layer and copies it in another editable layer.

Any suggestions.

Hi,

If you have access to geometry you could use REST points to do this.

Or a simpler way when the layers are fixed would be to use a GP tool.
