Hi, 🙂

I have made use of surface profile service provided by arcgis sample server 2 in wpf and now I can display the surface profile of the land area. However I was wondering is it possible to get the Ocean Bathymetry profile in the form of an image? I am refereing to this sample for silverlight provided by aRcGIS in its resource center.

http://help.arcgis.com/en/webapi/sil...SurfaceProfile

i was wondering whether I can get some sort of service for ocean bathymetry as well.

Thankyou, any help will be much appreciated.

Thanks again
Humza

Hi,

You could investigate the World Elevation service currently in Beta (https://betacommunity.esri.com/callout/?callid=4EBD8AB4A0F1479FA8FBB47F5ACA9D18).

You can also download the actual Geoprocessing Model used in the sample service you're currently working with to run on your own ArcGIS for Server instance: http://www.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=9eb7c69d9d124a488a76e2cf5fe401e9.

Additionally the Data Appliance for ArcGIS gives you greater access to the data you see on ArcGIS Online: http://www.esri.com/software/arcgis/data-appliance.

Cheers

Mike
