Sketch Layer Line

Is it possible to change the parameters of the Sketch Layer's line (default color is red)?

    // Setting the geometry of the gps sketch layer to route line.
    self.gpsSketchLayer.geometry = [[AGSMutablePolyline alloc] initWithSpatialReference:self.mapView.spatialReference];

    // Set the symbol to nil to avoid the default symbols in routeline
    self.gpsSketchLayer.midVertexSymbol = nil;
    self.gpsSketchLayer.selectedVertexSymbol = nil;
    self.gpsSketchLayer.vertexSymbol = nil;

* I have disabled the vertex symbols as I just want to show a single line... now I want to set the line to a blue color and change it to a thicker width. I believe it has something to do with 'mainSymbol' but I have not been able to get any results from my code.
Tried: [self.gpsSketchLayer.mainSymbol setColor:[UIColor blueColor]];

Im building off of the GPS sketching example found here: http://www.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=3c396e21abac4273bffa9e4918a309a7

Thanks.
