Modules not available in ArcGIS

I downloaded the enthought Python package which come with a ton of useful modules.  When I write a script which I try to run as a tool in ArcGIS 10 most of these modules are not available.  For example, I want to use the netCDF4 module to download netCDF files off of the internet and then use ArcGIS tools to manipulate the netCDF files.  The problem is when I run the script in Arc it gives me an error when I try to import the netCDF4 module, saying this module does not exist.  When I run the script standalone, this module does exist in the enthought package, but it does not exist when I try to run it in Arc.  Can someone please explain to me what the issue might be, and how I might write a python script that runs in ArcGIS 10 which downloads a netCDF file from a database on the internet?  Thank you!!!
