vb.net unregister debug version

I have written some tools in VB.net 2008 for ArcMap 9.3.1.
When I run debug in visual studio, it builds and essentially installs my tools.
How do I uninstall that?

My program also generates the setup/install program. And I know I'm not supposed to test my install program on my development machine, but when you have one machine you kind of need to.

So I figure if I uninstall what the debug builds and installs, then I can test my setup.

I'm sure I'm not using the right terms, but hopefully someone will know what I'm talking about. Clearly I am not an accomplished programmer.

thanks,
VeeAnn

ps. and of course I've already done the setup on my development machine - so hints to clean up the mess I've made would also be appreciated.
