Hi All,

Is thier a fast way to get the Minimum and Maximum elevation out of DEM into a feature class polygon layer?

I tried to convert the Dem to Points then apply a spatial Join, it worked but it's time consuming. I have more than 200  Raster and Plygon.

any ideas will be highly appreciated.

Thanks,
Remo

There is a tool in Military Analyst that will perform the action, called the Highest Point.  You can download the information here.  At 10, the information is available in the Visibility and Range Template in the toolbox provided with the download.

Thanks Jeff,

in fact i used the following way :

Using Spatial Analyst Tools\ zonal \ ZonalStatisticsAsTable , the output will show (Max, Min, Sum, STD, RANGE) for each district as a separate table, then you can join it with FCL or export it to excel. (This process will take 2 minutes as max)

it gives a tabel and then i applied the join to have the values in the layer again 🙂
