Hi,
I used the traditional layout maps that are available when you open a new project and overlayed a black and white map I scanned in from a book. I georeferenced the paper map to fit the template available from ArcMap and then drew polygons of sub populations using the draw toolbar. Since these maps keep track of co-ordinates and have a scale on the bottom right, I feel like there should be a way to calculate the area of my sub-population polygons. When I try to open the attribute table, that option is grayed out, so this is not an option. Please let me know if you can help! I am very new to this program (just started using it about 5 hours ago) so please be as specific as you can. Thank you!
