fbx export - setOptimizationsVertexPrecision

Sorry this might seem obvious to some, but its not so clear in the docs.
The setOptimizationsVertexPrecision(float) does this pertain to the units the scenes are set to work in?

So with a scene set to work in:
Raw data in meters(No_Projection: Meter)

the float value of 1.0 would represent 1m?
