mean aspect of a catchment

hi,

how can i calculate the mean aspect of a catchment?

the calculation of the aspect is easy with spatial analyst but how can i get the MEAN ASPECT? The problem is i.e. the the sector NORTH ranges from 337.5° to 22.5° and if i just calculate the MEAN with zonal statistics i get wrong angles for the results.

can anybody give me a useful hint how i can calculate the mean aspect?

Is it possible to Reclassify the raster and simply assign the same output value to all north degrees? I've tried to do this based on the traditional classification output calculated with the Aspect Tool, but my resulting values are all "1" or No Data after re-classification is run.

Any thoughts would be welcome. Thank you!
