Can you use an overview map in the legend for maps exported using DDP/Python?

We are using a Python script to export grid maps using DDP.  Our maps have an overview map in the legend, which shows the full extent of our grid layer as well as major roads/waterways.  We'd like to "highlight" the grid in the overview map for each sheet we are exporting.  I think it would be as simple as getting the name of the page and selecting that grid in the overview map, then exporting the map in the script.  The question is how to do that?  I see there is a way to get the name of the dataframe, etc., but how would we select the grid in the overview map and have it update for each grid map that is exported?
