Extracting Raster Data to Polygons

Is there a tool similar to the ???Extract Values to Points??? tool but only ???Extract Values to Polgyons????  I have a grid and polygon file, I would like to assign the maximum grid value that the polygon overlaps to the polygon. 

Any help or thoughts would be appreciated.

I have an ArcView license with Spatial Analyst.

Hi Rebecca,

First use the "Zonal Statistics as Table" tool (Spatial Analyst Tools > Zonal) and select Maximum as the Statistics type. Then join the polygon file with the generated table.
