regarding creation of subsets in geostatistical analyst

hello guys i am relatively new to arcGIS Geo statistical analyst extension , After imputing the desired layer when i click on create subset it says "subset creation failed The table name is invalid " . Please help me to solve this problem

What version of ArcGis are you using?
Are you inputting a table or a feature class?
What is the name of the output?

Please attach a screenshot.
