Hello everyone,

I was wondering if anyone else is having this issue. After we updated the Cisco AnyConnect app on the ipad2(iOS5) to version 2.5.4038, we are unable to access arcserver data on the esri application.

I can add my arcserver address into the app and actually see a list of my services, but when I try to open one it is not working anymore.

I've searched through cisco support and could only find this post https://supportforums.cisco.com/thread/2112057?tstart=0

You need to figure out whether you are able to access the services published on your ArcGIS server after connecting through cisco app. After that everything should work.

I was able to access the services published on my ArcGIS server before updating the Cisco AnyConnect app to version 2.5.4038

Here's the strange thing. I use this new version of cisco anyconnect to get into my vpn. I can then open the sarfari browser and reach this website just fine  (http://myserverip/arcgis/mobile)

However, when I open the arcgis ipad app, add my arcGIS server to the list, and then try to connect, I will see a list of all my services but cannot open any of them. (Map Failed to Load)

Everything was working fine before. The ONLY thing I changed was updating the cisco anyconnect application.

I wish there was a way to change back to an older version of the VPN software, but the apple store doesn't allow it.

As per the cisco forum post (the link provided in your first post) you should try changing the server names in the service URLs under web maps available at http://myserverip/arcgis/mobile from "server" to "server.abc.xyz".

Not just in the http://computername.domain/arcgis/mobile. When you add this URL in the ArcGIS app, you see a list of maps. These are web maps and it has all service URLs. If those URLs are from internal server then you should change their server names to computername.domain as well.

Ah, ok. I'm not sure how to go about doing this. Can it be done in ArcGIS Server Manager?

Thanks for all your help

On your server machine if you go to http://computername.domain/arcgis/mobile/content/mobileweb then you'll see all the web maps you see in the ArcGIS app. All these web maps are nothing but JSON files. These files are available in your hard drive at c:\arcgisserver\arcgismobile\mobileweb\maps\<unique name folder>. You can open available file from folder in textpad or notepad and change the server name.
