Display Field for raster layer

Hello,

I have a map service with many layers including 2 raster layers.  I've noticed that REST requests return no Display Field for the raster layers.  Is this working as expected?  Is the display field not defined for raster layers?  I apologize if this is a stupid question.  I just want to be able to show the display field of layers to users of my javascript app regardless of whether the layer contains vector or raster data.

When authoring the layer in ArcMap, you can assign a display field for a layer and typically DISPLAY field is set for layers that can be queried. In this case since this is a RASTER layer, I assume it may not support a DISPLAY field. please check if you are able to assign a display field in ArcMap and if this layer can be queried.
