Offline Editing Sample - Map Service Requirements for Cacheing?

In the offline editing sample, is any special type of Map Service required in order to store the basemap on the iOS device?


I guess what I don't understand is how are you ensuring that the iOS device is storing that basemap information as well as the feature service features when it goes offline?

The offline editing sample uses the offline tiled layer to ensure that the tiles can still be seen when the device is offline. The offline tiled layer is provided as an independent sample of a custom tiled layer. See this for more information.
