I am receiving a com error 0x800501ED when I attempt to log into an Arc 10 SDE database. Does anyone have a clue what this error code means, I can't find it in any error look up area.

I did some more digging an figured out the issue.... I'll detail it herefor anyone that cares .. or if anyone from ESRI reads this.
The issue is that I had an older version of the SQL Native Client on my machine.
Which appears to be a known issue in 10.
(Issue #1 for ESRI) I only have ArcGIS Engine Runtime installed which does not update the native client as Arc Desktop install does.
(Issue # 2) I was connecting to the SDE server using the IWorkspaceName.Open call, which only throws COM errors, it does NOT fill in the IErrorInfo stuff... if you use the SdeWorkspaceFactoryClass open, then the error is thrown with IErrorInfo filled in, giving an error message.
