.MXD File Association - ArcMap 10

I'm not sure if anyone else has had this issue, but I can't seem to open up maps from my desktop by  selecting 'open' or double-clicking on them. I installed ArcDesktop Version 10 with SP2 today, but after everything was finished and the computer restarted, there was no program association with .mxd documents.

I've tried setting the default program for .mxd files (with Windows 7 64-bit) as ArcMap.exe, but nothing happens when I selected it in the 'open with...' windows dialog. The path that I set was C:\Program Files (x86)\ArcGIS\Desktop10.0\Bin\ArcMap.exe.

ArcCatalog and the ArcGISFileHandler (C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\ArcGIS\bin\ArcGISFileHandler.exe) I've also tried to set as the default programs to open .mxd documents, but neither of those worked properly.

ArcMap seems to be running fine otherwise. It's just the file association that is a problem right now.

Has anyone had this issue, or knows of another way to associate ArcMap with MXD files?
