Why does ZonalHistogram outputs rendered values?

Discussion created by rie_mino on Jul 7, 2011
I am trying to use the ZonalHistogram tool and I keep getting, what I think are, the rendered values.  I am working with a GeoTIFF.

The output table has the correct number of columns based on the zone fields defined in the input feature class, but the number of rows does not match with the range of pixel values in the input raster.  Instead, the rows range from 1 to 256.   Why is this?  Is it possible to get the actual raw values from the input raster?

I've looked through the forum and could not find a post about this, and the tool's documentation does not mention a difference between raw and rendered values.

Your help is greatly appreciated.
