Duplicate Table Record/Row Multiple Times?

I have a standalone geodatabase table with values like this:

OID, NAME, TYPE, CLASS, ACTION, ASSIGNED, FIELD7, FIELD8, FIELD9... to FIELD22
43, Boden, Medium, C, None, Barrett, , , , , , and on
44, Naus, Large, A, Pending, Conner, , , , , ,  and on
45, Gesnum, Unknown, A, None, Epstein, , , , , and on
46, Croon, Medium, B, Updated, Watts, , , , and on

I want to select or specify OID 44 and duplicate this record 6 times. The 6 records will be duplicates of OID 44 and added as new records to my table.  At the end, I will have 7 records of "Naus" in my table.

I want to create a python script tool where the user either selects the record to be duplicated, or if not possible, input in the tool the OID number of the record to be duplicated.

Is this possible? How do I go about doing this?  More details the better for me. Thank you much!
