Flow Direction Output

I did an import of .txt files with x/y/z data via "Create Feature Class" -> "From X/Y Table...". Afterwards, I merged the resulting point-shapefiles. So, I've got one shapefile by now, which includes all the points (306029, area is 6km x 5km) from the .txt files. After an interpolation, I ran "Flow Direction" from the Spatial Analyst-Tools. The result is not the one I've expected. I guess it should look like this (with colour-coded raster cells representing the direction of the drainage), but I ended up with a raster-image with cell-values from 1-230, depicted by a b/w colour ramp (symbology-> stretched). So basically, I've got a greyscale image now. That's pretty confusing... Did I do something wrong? Is the data or the amount of data causing this? Is this an error at all?

I would be very grateful for any information.

Best regards

Phil
